Egern App — Terms of Service

Welcome to Egern (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Egern mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility​

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Use of the Service​

Egern provides network configuration, monitoring, and routing functionalities that allow users to manage and analyze their device’s network traffic.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. You must not:

  • Use the Service to interfere with or disrupt networks, systems, or services of others;
  • Use the Service to engage in illegal, harmful, or abusive behavior;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Service;
  • Use the Service to circumvent geographic or network restrictions in violation of applicable law.

3. User Responsibility​

You are solely responsible for:

  • The configurations you apply and network rules you create through the App;
  • The consequences of redirecting, filtering, or modifying network requests;
  • Ensuring that your use of the Service complies with local laws, especially those concerning data security and network access.

Egern provides tools for analysis and control but does not guarantee or endorse any specific use case.

4. Privacy and Data​

Egern does not collect or store personal traffic data or user network activity logs. We may collect limited technical information (e.g., app version, error logs, device model) to maintain and improve the Service.

5. Subscription and Payment​

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize Egern (or its payment provider) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until canceled.

All payments are processed securely through Apple’s App Store. Refunds and billing issues are governed by App Store policies.

6. Intellectual Property​

All intellectual property rights in the App, including software, design, and documentation, belong to Egern or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties​

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Egern does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability​

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Egern and its developers, affiliates, or partners shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Service — including but not limited to data loss, service interruption, or network misconfiguration.

9. Termination​

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable laws.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App.

10. Changes to the Terms​

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be effective when posted in the App or on our website. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law​

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [your jurisdiction, e.g., Singapore or Hong Kong], without regard to conflict of law principles.
